Design Principles

These are my guiding principles while designing. They act as my goalposts, and remind me of the direction I want to grow in.

Accessible First

I design with accessibility in mind first. On a tactical level, this means ensuring designs at least meet WCAG AA guidelines. On a strategic level, this means helping companies understand the importance of prioritizing usability for all types of users and aiming to learn and implement accessible first design to the best current research.

Scales and Grows

I prioritize designs that are easy to use, implement, and adjust as the company and user needs grow.

Data over Anecdotes

I aim to build based on data backed practices and findings. I aim to use data to inform my decisions, and build towards common experiences and patterns over singular anecdote or opinion.
